Days & Nights

Olya is a young woman from Kherson. She has a husband, Kost, and a 3-year-old son, Oleg. Olya spent 2.5 months in the occupation and miraculously left for free territory. She is haunted by panic attacks. The bone that took the family out is fighting. Olya and Oleg - in Frankivsk. Olya does not leave the house, hardly sleeps, tries to collect funds for the needs of the Armed Forces. Bone is a sniper, often disappears for a week or more, and these days become a real torment for a woman. She can't do that anymore. Bone asks her for one thing - to go somewhere. Do not sit in four walls. And not to make any decision until then. The baby's voice interrupts their conversation. The child wants a lullaby. Olya sings "The sun is setting, night is coming." This is a lullaby for Victory, for the Armed Forces and for all of Ukraine, a motivating and life-giving message. When we are together, when we are a family, we are invincible. Between the lines of the song, between Olya and Kost, there is a silent dialogue "I love you", "Don't do stupid things", "Take care of yourself". In the morning, Olya and Oleg go to the mountains. Kost is out of bounds again. Oleg dreams of a home. Mountain valley. It's almost dawn. Suddenly - a call. Kost died... The woman does not have time to come to her senses when a taxi driver appears and informs her that Kherson has been liberated.
