The Kyiv International Short Film Festival (KISFF) is the largest short film festival in Ukraine, dedicated to celebrating the art of short films in all their forms.

Founded in 2011, KISFF began as a dream shared by a small team of friends and enthusiasts who made it possible despite all odds and against all logic. We were driven by a deep desire to share short films with audiences — a passion fueled by the fact that, at the time, short films had no platform in cinemas or on the silver screen, remaining largely rare and unnoticed.

None of this would have been possible without the help and support of dedicated volunteers who have generously given their time, ideas, and energy to make the festival a reality each year. Many of those who began as volunteers soon became part of our team or went on to find their place in film production and other roles within the Ukrainian film industry, continuing to shape its future.

Each year, we bring together a vibrant mix of films created by emerging talents, accomplished filmmakers, film school students, and independent creators from around the globe. Our mission is to showcase the most stirring, inventive, and distinctive works while championing Ukrainian cinema and fostering connections between Ukrainian and international filmmakers, artists, and audiences.

Above all, KISFF is a safe and welcoming space where creativity thrives, ideas are exchanged, and everyone can experience the power of cinema to inspire, challenge, and unite.
