The world is rapidly changing, facing unimaginable challenges and finding ways to reconcile with the "new reality". In our opinion, a short film is the most potent medium that can respond to these changes as quickly as possible and offer new ideas. This year's International Competition features 16 talented filmmakers from all over the world who are ready to challenge, rise and experiment.

The sound of the streets of Teheran are transformed in to forbidden beats, people sing and young women and men rhyme their inner feelings. They tell us about a society that rejects them, streets belonging to the government and about a vision of a utopia within creativity. Street salesmen and pedestrians form an imaginary choir of the streets, backing up the youth, suggesting the public space should belong to the public. The narrative is captured in a circular chronology, in a single day from dawn to dawn, embodying a situation. The project was illegally recorded in the streets of Teheran by a few young artists and filmmaker Knutte Wester.

In times of the body positivity movement, this film pays tribute to the male body with which the director has a love-hate relationship. Both obsessed and frustrated by it, this ideal body represents an unreachable fantasy. Through a montage made from net footage, content collected online, he sends it a message imbued with sincerity.

When an asteroid hits the Earth leading to underwater volcanic eruptions, the inhabitants of a small riverside town start to flee inland. Before she leaves, Nian decides to say goodbye to her childhood friend. Her memories of the town start to become clearer and clearer in her mind on this journey.
